small talk

I really can't stand small talk. I like when I meet people who speak to me like we've been friends forever. None of that awkwardness.

People say the same shit with small talk, especially at LARS. And then once you say one thing back, you open up the floodgates for more meaningless banter. Its really worthless. This sounds so pessimistic but I just really dislike the routine of small talk and the fake courtesy laughs and the whole pretendness about it.

I guess in general I'm a very straightforward and blunt person and small talk forces me to become a fraud. I don't want to be a fraud but I don't want to be unnecessarily rude to strangers but strangers say stupid things and stupid things trigger me saying something smart-alecy.
