Awkward moments happen everyday and theres nothing you can do.

When you go to shake someones hand it really is a guessing game. These days you never really know what you're going to get as far as young people go. So many people say what's up so many different ways and you just have to hope they dap you how you dap them.

On the bus there are seats in the middle that face the direction the bus is headed. In the front and the back the seats face each other. When people sit across from each other (vs. an empty seat) it becomes kind of awkward. You're both sitting there, can't stare at the people to your right or left, thats weird. So you kind of look ahead but then that person is just looking back at you and the first time you make eye contact its whatever, but that second, third, and millionth time it just becomes awkward. You just have to deal with it for the duration of your time on the bus.


It also sucks when you're walking down a hallway and you see someone you know and now you guys are kind of just looking at each other, theres no one around. The other person is just waiting for you and you have to look around or pretend to check your phone or something.

Then you have the door openers. Ya know, when you're walking towards an entrance to somewhere and someone is in front of you. You're just far enough that it could be rude if they don't hold the door but you wouldn't be upset if they didn't. They see you and are now holding the door but you're pretty far away. Far enough that its cool to let go but they held it and were kind but now the time you're taking to get to the door is holding them up. So then you feel obligated to run or at least put a little pep in your step. And now you're running towards a door you didn't ask them to hold for you.
